Jim Hebe, Navistar International Corporation’s Senior vice president, North American sales operations to Deliver Keynote Address at South Coast AQMD Southern California Clean Vehicle Technology ExpoSANTA MONICA, CA – SEPTEMBER 9, 2008 – The AQMD Southern California Clean Vehicle Technology Expo (EXPO) is pleased to announce that James L. Hebe, Senior Vice President, North American Sales Operations for Navistar International Corporation will deliver a Keynote Address to the conference on Tuesday, October 14, 2008. Mr. Hebe is a distinguished trucking industry leader and AQMD is very pleased to have him speak at its fourth annual Clean Vehicle Technology EXPO. The EXPO provides a unique opportunity for the providers of clean vehicles and technologies to meet with fleet operators and exchange of information about regulatory and policy updates, operational needs, available incentives, and much more. As Navistar’s Senior Vice President for North American Sales Operations, Jim Hebe is responsible for North American sales, dealer operations and central sales administration. In this role, he has been working to showcase the company as one of the nation’s leading “green” truck providers. Mr. Hebe’s address will discuss Navistar’s line up of electric hybrid commercial trucks and buses, and the company’s current efforts to assess a wide range of alternative fuel paths in order to meet customer demand for “green” products in light of continued high energy prices. Prior to re-joining Navistar in April 2008, Mr. Hebe has led with distinction in a variety of roles in the trucking industry. He served as chairman, president and chief executive officer of Freightliner for nine years. After leaving Freightliner in 2002, Hebe became head of Seagrave Fire Apparatus, LLC in Clintonville, Wis. He returned to the trucking industry in 2006 when he became dealer principal of Co-Van/Cascadia. He is both a member of the Automotive Hall of Fame and the Automotive News Hall of Fame. About the EXPOHosted by the South Coast Air Quality Management District, the Clean Vehicle Technology EXPO brings together California's public and private fleet and purchasing managers infrastructure providers, diesel emission reduction technology companies, public agencies, alternative fuel stakeholders, funding agencies, and other industry experts to interact and share information on low-emission technology funding, policies and regulations.
